South African Appaloosa Championships

18 – 21 October Parys

This year our South African Appaloosa Championships will once again be held at the Afridome (Indoor Arena) at Parys. We had an excellent turnout last year and expect to see even more entries this year.

Please find attached Show Schedule, Entry Form, Show Rules and also the Western Ridden Class Pattern 'D' for your information.

Please note the following :

There is accommodation available at the show grounds as well as camping space, ablution facilities, ample space for horse box parking, etc. There are also some good bed & breakfast places in Parys. Please ensure you book early for your accommodation.

There will be wonderful prizes to be won as well as rosettes and trophies.

We can't do this without you – so please participate, join in and join us there.

Parys is situated approx 1.5 hrs from Johannesburg and is situated in the world famous Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site (a crater created by an meteorite well over 2000 million years ago!). The area is on the banks of the Vaal river and offers accommodation as well as leisure activities close by.

The town itself has restaurants, antique shops, coffee shops and other exciting and interesting attractions. Accommodation in Parys varies from self catering, to B&B to conference venues and teambuilding venues.

The area is also home to numerous private game farms. With the area being near the Vaal river there are also watersports available such as river rafting and kayaking.
