PARYS DOME ADVENTURE FESTIVAL

The Dome Adventure Festival in Parys is not alone unique in being the only festival in the world held in a crater, it is also a definite must for every lover of adventure.

It is an hour's drive from Johannesburg and will take place on the 4th, 5th and 6th of November 2011. On offer will be the Dragon Boat Race, golf, and various other sport disciplines. There also will be Rock shows on the 4th and 5th of November with some of South Africa's best known artists in action, a large variety of competitions, stalls and lots of fun outdoor activities for the whole family.

The MTN Ride Crater Cruise is one of South Africa's most prestigious mountain bike festivals. Every second weekend of October, mtbikers from across the continent flock to Parys in the Free State, South Africa to compete for the Mountainbike Marathon title <King and Queen of the Crater>, OR to come and enjoy the beauty of the Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site along the Vaal River and indulge in the friendliness and hospitality of our rural community. The Petit Paris venue is the home of the event and is only 100km from Johannesburg.
